Communicable disease prevention Policy

Following WorkSafe BC guidance in the aftermath of the COVID 19 pandemic, the following is in place to prevent the spread of communicable disease such as COVID 19, the seasonal flu, norovirus etc.

These measures have been put in place by Helen Whitehead Counselling to benefit everyone's safety.

  • In-person sessions will adhere to current WorkSafe BC recommendations including physical distancing, & PPE where required. Virtual and telephone are still available for clients who prefer them.

  • Clients for in-person sessions will be asked to cancel/reschedule appointments if they are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, or other transmissible disease; are under a quarantine/isolation order; or have been exposed to a person with COVID-19. In these cases virtual or telephone sessions will be offered.

  • Please only arrive a few minutes prior to your appointment, when you arrive hand sanitizing and/or handwashing is recommended.

  • Masks are recommended to be worn in the reception area and are personal choice during the session. Please bring a mask with you and if you are unsure as whether you need to wear a mask get in touch with Helen Whitehead prior to the session.

  • There will be no physical greetings such as hand shaking with your therapist.

  • No drinks will be provided so please bring your own water/coffee/tea if required.

  • Payment can be completed by credit card via a secure link or through e-transfer.
